Stone and Firestone Walker 4-packin for summer

Little birds have been talking about Stone Brewing and Firestone Walker switching some of their 22oz bombers into 4 packs and downsizing a few of their 6 packs.

The question of rather or not this trend toward 12oz  will make it easier for us lonesome drinkers to enjoy our favorites without having to consume a full 22oz was posed by Beer of Tomorrow

Beer street journal posted an announcement a few hours ago stating that Stone Brewing in Escondido, California would be switching some of their beers from 6 packs to 4 packs as well as adding an additional offering to the list with their dark and potent IPA Sublimely Self-Righteous.

Grek Koch stepped into the comment ring and poured out a bit of insiders information as well:

"For clarity...
* Stone Ruination IPA & OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale going from 6pks --> 4pks
* Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale 4pks being added
* No other changes to any other beers."
BeerPulse states that it has leanred that the beer will be availably by late summer in 4-packs, a first for Stone.

FireStone's Brewsletter handed out this nugget of information:
Your favorite dangerously-delicious Imperial IPA is now available in both single 22oz bottles and 4-packs of 12oz bottles! We usually recommend sharing the 22oz bottles of this 9.5% ABV brew, and sometimes you just don't feel like sharing! Now we've got you covered.  Four packs are rolling out to store now, so keep an eye out!

Good things come in small packages? Would you buy a 24 pack of Stone Ruination IPA?
